Mom Asks For Help In Giving Daughter Wish

Posted: Updated:

8-year-old Jane Fiemeyer from Wadena, Minnesota has been battling Leukemia for over a year. Her family had put off signing up for Make A Wish until she had been in remission, but now doctors say cancer treatment is no longer working.

Jil Fiemeyer says, "Sassy. She's beautiful. She loves to diva it up."

One look at pictures, and you can see the joy in Jil Fiemeyer's daughter Jane. And over the past year, she's has earned the name Princess Warrior.

Jil says, "It's very scary to know that one of these days, that I will no longer have the physical presence of my daughter."

Jane was diagnosed with Leukemia and has been fighting.

Jil says, "This was the final relapse that we found out there are just no other options."

On Wednesday, Jane and her family will go from the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis to their home in Wadena and begin Hospice care.

Jil says, "It was always kind of one of those things that we would do a Make a Wish when the bone marrow was complete and she was healthy to enjoy it, when all of a sudden that was robbed from us."

Jil is trying her hardest to make Jane's dream of meeting the band Big Time Rush. She's asking everyone to spread the word, and hopefully the band will hear her message. And Jane deserves it, because while she's sick and weak, she's trying to help others. Jane has been making wallets with duct tape and giving them to people in exchange for a donation to children's cancer research. So far she's raised over $650.

Jil says, "When she got older, her goal was to be a scientist and some day would find a cure, and I guess this is her way her legacy lives on."

A legacy of a little girl who has fought so hard for herself and for others.

If you can help make her wish come true or if you'd like to learn more about Jane's story, you can visit her CaringBridge site.
