Thousands of people will be in the Fargodome parking lot for tailgating tomorrow afternoon.
NDSU Student, Eric Miller, says, "Classy, that's the one word I'd use to describe it."
Judging by his outfit, Eric Miller is ready.
"Go bison! That's all I need to say. I'm so excited," says Miller.
And he's getting everybody else in the spirit for the first Bison football game of the season by handing out pride citations for everyone without enough school spirit. Even I got one.
Miller says, "I've gone through about four or five books already!"
But before the game happens, the pre-game party takes over the Fargodome lot. And this year.
Troy Goergen with NDSU Marketing says, "This is maybe taking it to the next level."
There's a new paved lot with an extra 1,000 parking spots, a stage with a DJ, food and clothing vendors and a kids game area, all in a midway that's been named Thunder Alley.
Goergen says, "Just a plethora of things for fans who want to come out and enjoy tailgating."
But at Thunder Alley, the fun doesn't stop when you need to take a break. You can show your pride in Bison-themed porta-potty.
Goergen says, "I'd like to say they play the fight song when you sit down, but they don't."
And as the crew puts on the finishing touches at the dome parking lot, Eric Miller says, you better be prepared.
"The march is on. Game day is tomorrow. We're ready tow in the first game. We're ready to go," says Miller.
Tailgating starts at 1 PM tomorrow. And if you're watching the game at home, don't forget to check out our pre-game show. That's on KVLY starting at 5:30
