Shortly after 2:30 this morning, police responded to a disturbance in the parking lot at Motel 6 at 1202 36th Street South after receiving multiple 911 calls. Fargo police described it as "a heck of a ruckus."

As many as a half dozen men were in a fight involving hammers and a shotgun. The melee had broken up by the time police arrived and those involved refused to cooperate with investigators. Alcohol was a factor, and no shots were fired.

Sergeant Tom Shaw says several of the men had superficial wounds. One was transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There's been no arrests but police will forward their investigation to the State's Attorney for possible charges.
