Fargo Worries Over Loved Ones in Isaac's Path

Posted: Updated:

Hurricane Isaac is set to descend on the city of New Orleans at around midnight Wednesday. And many eyes in the Red River Valley will be turned toward the Gulf Coast when it does.
Lenny Boyer's been in Fargo twenty-some years, but most of his family is still back in his hometown of New Orleans.
The family endured major trauma during Hurricane Katrina seven years ago.
They were some of thousands scattered around the country and lost to each other in the storm's aftermath.
One of Lenny's daughters died after refusing to evacuate the Lower Ninth Ward, the only one who would not leave.
Boyer says it's hard to watch the coverage of Isaac.
"It's still with me," he says, at his chef's job at the Cork N Cleaver in South Fargo. "What can you do about it? What can you say about it but get out. Get out while you can. "
Boyer says his daughter managed to get her three children to safety before she died in the storm seven years ago.
She was 34.
