Berg to Gulleson: "I Apologize"

Posted: Updated:

Friday night, Conservative talk host Chris Berg apologized for comments he made Thursday on his live online web show "The Chris Berg Show".

Berg quoted a new book from a Andy Andrews entitled "How Do You Kill 11 Million People?: Why the Truth Matters More Than You Think".

In the book, Andrews uses a provocative quote from Adolph Hitler to ask the question "Which is more dangerous: politicians with ill intent, or the too-trusting population that allows such people to lead".

"I sincerely apologize to Pam if she, or anyone, thinks I was trying to compare her to Hitler", said Berg.

Berg used Hitler's famous "Big Lie" analogy to compare comments by U.S.House candidate Pam Gulleson (D) and others on the viability of social security in light of expert analysis that the system will be broke by 2033.

In an interview Friday night with Valleynewslive.com, Berg insisted he did not compare  Pam Gulleson to Hitler. (A review of the broadcast confirms this).

Berg acknowledged he could have made his point without using the Hitler quote. He says he has since contacted Gulleson personally and invited her to appear on his broadcast.

Editor's Note: The Chris Berg show does not appear on KVLY or KXJB television. It is an on-line only daily broadcast produced by valleynewslive.com, the web channel of Valley News Live television.
