Man Faces Felony for Kicking Cop in Face

Posted: Updated:

A Moorhead man is facing a felony charge of assaulting a police officer. Court records say 44-year-old Ronald Coleman was sitting in a squad car when he kicked a Moorhead police officer in the face. The officer was also kicked in hand, which pushed the probes of his taser into his skin. Police had to subdue Coleman with pepper spray.

It happened Monday while officers were attempting to transport Coleman to detox. If convicted, Coleman could face up to five years in prison.
