Small Business, Major Burglary

Posted: Updated:

More than $14,000 was stolen from A Fosston, Minnesota business during a burglary this week. But, the suspect's time on the loose may be very short.

Larry LePier says a suspect walked into his gas station and headed directly to a file cabinet, where over $14,000 worth of cash and checks were stored.

However, Lepier says he instantly knew the suspect's identity after looking at his surveillance video tape. But, at this advanced stage of the investigation, authorities won't reveal much information about the case.

Reporter: "You're saying you don't have a specific suspect yet?"

Investigator Mike Norland, Polk County Sheriff's Dept.: "Not at this time. We're still working on it. We're following any kinds of leads that we get."

While investigators are not willing to release much information in the case yet, store owner Larry LePier is pretty confident that this suspect's quick rise from rages to riches will be short lived.

  We'll keep you updated.
