Beating in Downtown Fargo

A man has been arrested for aggravated assault in connection with a beating in a downtown Fargo alley in which the victim was seriously injured.

Police say a man is being treated for head injuries after being attacked behind Dempsey's just before 3:30 Thursday morning. Workers at Dempsey's heard the assault from inside the bar, and called police who detained two men and a woman.

One of the men was arrested at the scene. The others were held for questioning. The victim was unconscious and was taken to Sanford Medical Center. Police say everyone involved was intoxicated.
