Donations for Crystal Kids

Posted: Updated:

The children of locked out American Crystal union employees are getting some back to school help.

Thirteen-hundred American Crystal workers have now been locked out of their jobs for more than a year.

Today, their children received donated back packs, school supplies and food.

Unemployment benefits for most locked out workers have now run out, leaving some parents short on money for their children's school supplies.

Lacey Collison, Father Locked Out: "Been a lot of Mom and Dad trying to figure out what bills to pay, when to pay and how to make ends meet."

The Union recently offered American Crystal several upcoming dates to resume negotiations.

Union President, John Riskey told Valley News Live today, they still haven't received any response from American Crystal.
