The Best "Freebie" Websites

Posted: Updated:

It seems like a new one's popping up weekly, websites that feature free stuff, which master money-savers say should be a daily destination.

"We didn't do a survey on who's taking advantage of freebies but I would say anyone who isn't is missing out on an opportunity," said Jody Rohlena of ShopSmart Magazine.

Rohlena brags about the freebie websites being the reason why she hasn't had to buy eye shadow in years because she's gotten so many free samples.

She recommends sites like www.freebies4mom.com and www.heyitsfree.net

"Typically that's what these freebies are.  They're little sample-size things," said Rohlena.  "We found a face wash, some dog food and lotion and all kinds of things."

Two others that she says often send a coupon with the free sample:  www.hunt4freebies.com or www.moneysavingmom.com

"So, you get to go try the product and if you like it, you get to save a dollar or sometimes even more on the full-size version."

The catch is you'll have to give up some information about yourself so Rohlena says you should use an email address which isn't your primary address.

"You can make up a dedicated email address and we encourage you to do that so that your inbox isn't flooded with all kinds of stuff."
