Training Sessions for Urban Deer Hunt

The Fargo Police Department in conjunction with the Fargo Park District, North Dakota Game and Fish Department, and the North Dakota Bow Hunter's Association, will be conducting training and certification for the 2012- 2013 Deer Management Program.

The Deer Management Program utilizes trained archery hunters to manage the urban deer herd within the city limits of Fargo.

Training sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, July 24 and Wednesday, July 25 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Participants must attend one session of training and pass a proficiency test to be eligible to apply for a special archery permit from the North Dakota Game & Fish Department.

Training is conducted by the Fargo Police Department, Fargo Park District, ND Game & Fish Department and North Dakota Bow Hunter's Association.

Registered applicants will receive a packet containing information about the training, testing and regulations of the Deer Management Program.
