Red River Valley Fair Opens

The 2012 Red River Valley Fair opens today. With 28 food vendors, almost 50 different rides, and tons of daily and nightly entertainment this years fair is expected to be huge.

Some big attractions at this years fair include the live gator show and the live big bear show.

Fair goers can watch Swampmaster, Jeff Quattrocchi as he catches an 8 foot, 200 lb wild Alligator with his bare hands! Children can even hold and have their picture taken with a baby alligator.

Show Hours: 2pm, 4pm and 7pm daily, at the North end of the Fairgrounds between Harvest Hall and Exhibit Hall. Cost is free with your paid gate admission.

The Welde Big Bear Show is also an entertaining and educational show. The Welde family has developed an educational presentation and exhibit filled with bear facts and info while admiring their natural beauty and sometimes, comical antics of these majestic creatures.

Show Hours: 1:30pm, 3:30pm and 6pm daily, at the North end of the Fairgrounds.
