Company will offer tours through ND oil patch

Posted: Updated:

A Williston company will begin offering tours through North Dakota's oil patch in the next month.

The Bakken Field Tours will give people a chance to take an 11-hour bus tour that will feature an explanation of oil and gas development. The night before each tour, those taking part will get a three-hour educational workshop that explains what they'll see the next day.

The Dickson Press reports (http://bit.ly/MxYaBH ) that the tours are organized by DAWA Solutions Group, a Williston communication and small-business development firm that sponsored a recent conference and summit. The group's president, Jeff Zarling, says people who attended those events and are looking at business opportunities in North Dakota asked about taking tours to learn more about the oil patch.

The cost of the tours is $325.
