Minot Mayor Endorses Berg for Senate

Posted: Updated:

US Senate candidate Rick Berg picked up a Western North Dakota endorsement of note today.

The campaign released a radio ad in which Minot Mayor Curt Zimbelman touts Berg's leadership and his work with the Minot community to deal with recovery efforts brought on by the historic flooding of last year.

"With millions of dollars in flood relief funding in jeopardy, Rick Berg stepped up and helped secure much needed money for North Dakota. As mayor, I know first-hand the importance of Rick's leadership. Rick Berg was there when we needed him-that is why I am supporting Rick Berg for Senate."

Berg will face Democrat Heidi Heitkamp in the General Election on November 6, 2012.
