==original story===

Police are searching for a man who apparently stabbed someone in Dilworth early Monday morning.

Police say they received the call around 4:00 A.M. from 8th Street and 2 1/2 Avenue Northwest in Dilworth, which is in a mobile home park north of Highway 10.  They believe it was a verbal domestic situation that escalated.

One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and police are searching for a person of interest. Officers say they know who they are looking for, and he is not a threat to the public. The Clay County Sheriff's department is helping Dilworth Police on the investigation.  The street is blocked off as investigators try to piece together what happened.

Police tell the Valley Today's John Trierweiler that many of the witnesses are children, so they're trying to sort out details about what exactly happened. The children have been taken to a safe place and police say they will be released to the appropriate people later this morning.
