2012 RibFest Kicks Off

Happy Harry's RibFest 2012 will open its gate June 6th at 11am and run through June 9th. With seven national rib vendors and entertainment from 11am to 11pm daily, FARGODOME'S Happy Harry's RibFest 2012 will be the hot spot of the summer.

Daily lunch specials from 11am-1pm with free gate admission and parking and Games Galore wristbands will be $5 off the regular price. Be one of the first 100 people and you will receive a FREE premium gift.

Don't forget to ask for your 2 FREE sides and remember "You buy the meat and sides are our treat!" This year's entertainment is an extraordinary line-up with national acts nightly on the Happy Harry's Stage starting around 7:30pm.

Throughout the week rib vendors will be making ribs in hopes to win over judges as well as attendees. Several judges from around the area will try out the vendor's ribs and judge them based on appearance, tenderness and most of all, taste.

Attendants of this year's RibFest will also have the opportunity to judge the vendors for the People's Choice Award throughout the event.

Riblet Fest sponsored by State Bank & Trust at RibFest will be Saturday from 11am-2pm with FREE admission and FREE parking. The event will include many kids activities. There will be two performances by Penny and Pals at 11:30am and 1:30pm, and other attractions including Touch-A-Truck. Games Galore wristbands will be $5 off of the regular price, prizes drawn throughout the afternoon, face painting, free balloons, tattoos, stickers and much, much more!

    Head on Collision Injures Two

    Two drivers were hurt in a headon collision in Otter Tail County Saturday night.The Minnesota State Patrol says Jacquelyn Burrows, 63, of Pelican Rapids, was seriously injured. Troopers say Kelsey Laugen, 18, of Elk River, was hurt with non-life threatening injuries.According to an agency report, Burrows was traveling North on Highway 59 near 450th Street when she crossed the center line and hit Laugen head on. It happened at about 8:45 Saturday night.

    Fire In Horace, House Is Total Loss

    Crews were called at 10:10 a.m. to a house fire at7113 Woodland Circle north of Horace. Homeowners were inside at the time, but escaped, and no one was hurt. Crews battled the fire for hours; the home is a total loss. There is no cause at this time, they are still investigating. Firefighters say they had to fight the fire from outside, which makes the battle more difficult.     Beltrami Business Believed to be Total Loss After Fire

    Beltrami Fire Department says part of a business is destroyed after an early morning fire. Firefighters say they were called out around 1:00 a.m. to a fire at the Beltrami Mall.  Crews say West Central
    The Beltrami Fire Chief says is investigating the cause of the fire and say they believe it started in the shop area. The Safety Director for West Ag believes the entire building is a total loss.
