News release from the Red River Valley Fair:

June 5, 2012 – West Fargo, North Dakota – The Red River Valley Fair was recently informed that The Band Perry will not be able to perform on July 11th as scheduled. The good news is that The Band Perry has agreed to reschedule the show for the 2013 Fair. The fair regrets any inconvenience this change may cause, but is excited to announce that the Eli Young Band has been booked to replace The Band Perry at the 2012 fair. Kip Moore will open for the Eli Young Band, along with Katie Armiger.

The Band Perry was forced to cancel the July 11th show in Fargo due to a scheduling conflict. The Band Perry will be in the studio recording their much-anticipated second album.   "We hope that everyone will understand why we can't be at the Red River Valley Fair this year but we are looking forward to playing next year. We are also excited about recording new music for our fans," said The Band Perry.

The Eli Young Band is best known for its recent #1 Country song, "Crazy Girl," but the band has been making albums and selling out venues in its home state of Texas for nearly 10 years. The band first burst onto the national scene with its hit single, "Always the Love Songs," in 2008 and is continuing to rise in fame. The band was nominated for three Academy of Country Music Awards in 2012, including the award for Song of the Year, which they won. The Eli Young Band's latest single, "Even If It Breaks Your Heart," is currently at #9 on the Country Music Charts. Kip Moore, the second artist on this three-act show, currently has the #1 song, "Somethin' About a Truck." Katie Armiger, who will open the show, recently released her 10th single entitled "Scream."

"We are disappointed that The Band Perry will not perform this year as scheduled, but fans can look forward to seeing them perform in 2013," said Bryan Schulz, Red River Valley Fair General Manager.  "Meanwhile, the Eli Young Band, Kip Moore, and Katie Armiger will do a great job of entertaining the crowd at the fair on July 11th."

The Red River Valley Fair will take place July 10-15 at the Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota. Advanced Ride Tickets can be purchased at any area Stop-N-Go Store and online at RedRiverValleyFair.com.  Grandstand shows are free with your paid gate admission.  Admission is free for children 5 & under; $3 for ages 6-11 and $7 for 12 and older.  For more information, please go to: www.redrivervalleyfair.com
