New negotiations are set for June 8. And while Crystal officials have said they would not move from their final contract offer, union officials now say they're ready to address Crystal's concerns. The Union says it will be bringing an offer to the table that will be tough for Crystal to turn down."
Roger Delage, Union Representative: "We are coming there prepared. We have a lot of the … we addressed several of the issues the Company has addressed. We are coming there with a package to try and end this lockout."
American Crystal Vice-President Brian Ingulsrud tells Valley News Live quote: "We'll wait for the meeting to pass judgement."
Meanwhile, Minnesota Congressman, Collin Peterson says it appears the Sugar Program will remain intact as part of the Farm Bill next month. It protects growers by keeping the market from being flooded by imported sugar.
