Motorcycle Awareness Month

Posted: Updated:

May is motorcycle awareness month, and riders along with state agencies want you to be on the look out for motorcycles.

Motorcycle experts remind drivers to always look twice at intersections to confirm their path is clear of any approaching motorcycles. Drivers should also stay off their phones while driving and focus all their attention on the road.

Riders are also reminded to always wear a DOT approved helmet and proper protective and reflective gear such as coat and gloves.

"Bike Night" will also be happening in Moorhead on Thursday, May 10th 5:30-9:00 PM At the Moorhead Center Mall.

All motorcycle enthusiasts are welcome.  There will be displays of new motorcycles, antiques, classics and customs.  There will also be music, food, door prizes and NO admission charge.

VERY IMPORTANT:

If you are riding your motorcycle, enter the Moorhead Center Mall east parking lot from 7th Street between Center Avenue and First Avenue North.

Cars must enter on the west side of the mall and park in either the Herberger's parking ramp or one of the parking lots near Herberger's.  Overflow parking will be in the parking lot of US Bank near Scheel's.

Bike Night in Moorhead will be held the 2nd Thursday evening of May, June, July and August.
