G.F. Robbery Update

Posted: Updated:

We have an update on a violent robbery at the Valley Ho Trailer Park in Grand Forks early Monday morning.

Three suspects broke into Sherman and Carmen Jones home, beat them and killed a pet dog.
The Jones say the suspects demanded drugs and money. Police are still searching for the suspects, but say they have several good leads.
Neighbors say there were people coming and going from the home at all hours of the day and night. Robbery victim, Carmen Jones says all the visitors are friends. She says the surveillance cameras were installed after they had a TV stolen. Carmen says she does have pain killers on hand for her medical conditions.
Reporter: "But, you did say you have a lot of pain pills and people have asked you to buy them... before?"
Carmen Jones, Robbery Victim: "I've been asked once or twice before you know. You want to sell some? I'm like no. You crazy?"
Sgt. B.A. Johnson, G.F. Police: "But at this point it doesn't appear to us that it was a random incident. We're not sure what the relationship is between the victims and the suspects. But, it does appear they were targeted for some reason."
Police say they don't believe the suspects pose any danger to the general public.
