Big Names Help Push For New Stadium

Posted: Updated:

More drama in the push for a new Vikings stadium. The Minnesota Senate Finance Committee voted late Wednesday to add funding for the project from racino's.

The move would put slot machines at the state's horse racing tracks to help cover it's share of the project.

There were some heavy hitters at the capitol backing the bill: running back Adrian Peterson, linebacker Chad Greenway and center John Sullivan talked to legislators voicing their support for a new stadium.

Governor Mark Dayton says there's a 50-50 chance the bill gets passed this week.
