Update: West Fargo Car Assault

Posted: Updated:

The name of the person who attacked people with a car yesterday (Saturday) in West Fargo has been released. 23 year old Sumaya Hassan of Fargo is charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Police say Hassan and another party got into an argument earlier in the week and planned a fight to take place by the Holy Cross Church in West Fargo. When the two groups met, Hassan slammed her car into the other and also tried running into others who were outside the car. Police say this type of a fight is unusual.

Detective, Tim Runcorn with the West Fargo Police Department says, "Two parties getting around to settle a disagreement has been around a long time, but the events that followed are pretty rare around this area."

Three people who were hit were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The West Fargo Police Department says Hassan could be facing more charges.
