New Jersey Governor Chris Christie insists he was listening - not sleeping - during a recent Bruce Springsteen concert in New York City.

Christie says a fan snapped a photo of him with head back and eyes closed during the show at Madison square garden.

The photo was posted on Twitter... And the governor says the New York Post incorrectly concluded that he had dozed off.

Christie told reporters that he simply leaned back and shut his eyes to listen to the spiritual-sounding song "Rocky Ground" when the picture was taken.

The governor is a mega-fan who has attended 127 Springsteen concerts.

Prom season is upon us and for many high school students that means forking over a lot of cash.  One texas mother is sparing no expense-- she got a billboard for her daughter to advertise her run for prom queen.

Some students at her school can't believe someone would spend so much money on it.

But mom says she just wanted her daughter to have a fighting chance come prom time... Because the competition is tough.  However the billboard is only the beginning, she has also taken out several newspaper ads and even recruited a local restaurant to help.
