North Dakota State (7-13, 4-4 Summit League) concludes a three-game Summit League homestand at the Bison Sports Arena (5,830) on Friday night ... It's Alumni Weekend for women's basketball ... NDSU is scheduled to host South Dakota State (12-7, 7-1 Summit League) at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.

Currently in sixth place in the league standings, the Bison have won five of their last seven games  ... NDSU has posted a 5-4 record at home including a 3-1 mark in league play ... The Jackrabbits are in first place in the league standings and have won five of their last six games ... SDSU is  4-4 on the road this season and 3-1 in league play ... In the NCAA statistics released Jan. 16, 5-foot-11 guard Hannah Linz ,"The Sniper", was 14th in three-point shooting (42.4%) and 6-5 center Janae Burich is 17th in blocked shots (2.8 bpg) ... Linz is 6th in three-pointers attempted (331) and 9th in three-pointers made (113) at NDSU all-time.

Katherine Burgum Classic
The Katherine Burgum Classic was NDSU athletics' gift for Katherine "K." Kilbourne Burgum's 90th birthday, recognizing her dedication and commitment to young women on campus, the Fargo-Moorhead community and the region ... The Bison are 4-1 in the Classic with wins over Minnesota (62-48, 12-22-06, 3,543 att), Montana State (82-59, 12-30-07, 1,492 att), Western Illinois (52-46, 1-10-09, 1,576 att) and IPFW (64-52, 1-23-10, 835 att) ... The loss came to Oakland (48-60, 1-22-11, 2,120 att) ... Lisa Bue was a two-time NDSU MVP in the game in 2006 and 2007, while Whitney Trecker earned the honor in 2009, Katie Birkel in 2010 and Abby Plucker in 2011 ... Opponent MVPs were Ashley Ellis-Milan (Minnesota), Nubia Garcia (Montana State), Katy Clark (Western Illinois), Sydney Weinert (IPFW) and Bethany Watterworth (Oakland).

The Series
This will be the 74th meeting between North Dakota State and South Dakota State in a series that started in 1976 ... The Bison hold a slim 38-35 advantage in the series ... SDSU has won 12 of the last 13 meetings including two of three games in 2010-11 ... North Dakota State did snap a 10-game losing streak to the Jackrabbits on Dec. 4, 2010, with a 78-71 win before 3,855 at Frost Arena in Brookings ... SDSU defeated the Bison 64-51 before 2,521 in Fargo on Feb. 26 and again the following week on March 6, by the score of 62-51, in the first round of the Summit League tournament before 5,433 in the Sioux Falls Arena.

Plucker Reaches 1,000 Points in Bison Career
North Dakota State University forward Abby Plucker became the 29th women's basketball player to reach 1,000 career points with 14:13 left in the first half on a three-pointer at UNLV on Dec. 19, 2011 ... Plucker, a 5-foot-11 senior from Parker, S.D., enters Friday with 1,085 points in 114 career games and ranks 25th all-time ... She leads the team in scoring (10.5 ppg) and rebounding (7.8 rpg) in 20 starts.
