Allegiant expanding in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. —Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) today announces new, nonstop jet service between Grand Forks, N.D., and Orlando, Fla., via Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), will begin Nov. 17. The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, will introduce the new service to Grand Forks residents with fares as low as $94.99* one way.
 
"We're pleased to again offer an affordable and convenient way for our customers to get away," Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President, said. "We are confident the Grand Forks area will appreciate the value of flying nonstop to Orlando and the great deals we offer on hotels, car rentals and theme park tickets."
 
"We are extremely excited for the announcement of direct service from Grand Forks to Orlando-Sanford," said Grand Forks International Airport Executive Director, Patrick Dame. "Orlando has been our most requested city from our customers, within our region, and from our friends in Winnipeg. The new route will be extremely successful and we appreciate the partnership we have with Allegiant to be able to provide our customers sunny destinations like Orlando."
 
The new flights will operate twice weekly between the Grand Forks International Airport (GFK) and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) with service Thursday and Sunday. Flights will depart Grand Forks at 3:40 p.m. arriving in Orlando-Sanford at 8:10 p.m. Flights leaving Orlando-Sanford will depart at 11:55 a.m. arriving in Grand Forks at 2:50 p.m. (all flight times are local).
 
With plenty of shopping, dining, outdoor activities and entertainment, Orlando offers vacationers the perfect getaway. Located in the heart of Central Florida, Orlando is home to the world's most exciting theme parks including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld. Orlando's famous International Drive is more than 10 miles long and features more than 100 hotels, 450 stores, several attractions and two major outlet malls. Orlando is also home to more than 175 golf courses, many of which were designed by pro golfers such as Greg Norman, Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. 
 
Allegiant's $94.99* one-way introductory fare is limited, must be purchased by Sept. 7, 2011, and is valid for travel between Nov. 17, 2011, and Feb. 14, 2012. Introductory fares are not available on all flights.
