
Dan's dad took him, and his siblings, fishing as youngsters and got him hooked. To this day his dad still holds the family's record fish. A lunker out of a lake in northern Ireland that he caught just before heading into duty during World War 2. It was an 18 pound, 44 inch pike out of a lake that the locals said didn't have any fish in it.
