It’s a symbol behind a city; Fargo is currently accepting submissions for a city flag. Nearly 40 designs have already been submitted to the Arts Partnership.
Fargo residents are encouraged to enter their own design or vote on their favorite. Some of the flag guidelines include: two to three basic colors, meaningful symbols and keeping it simple.
The contest goes until August 23. After the contest ends, the 15 most popular flags will be presented for review and narrowed down to one.
The winning artist will receive $250 dollars and credit for designing the flag. If the Fargo City Commission does not approve the flag, it may not be adopted.
