"Freezin for a Reason," at the Polar Plunge

How about jumping into 34 degree water to get your Saturday going? Well several people were, "Freezin' for a Reason!"

Around 45 people took a dive at the Polar Plunge in Fargo, Saturday, at the Ramada Plaza & Suites. Those who took the plunge went for best costume, belly flop and most money raised.

Some familiar faces hosted the event, Lisa Budeau and Kyle Bosch from the Valley Today. Plungers raised over $8,000, all for the Special Olympics.

"Absolutely all the money raised here, stays in North Dakota, to help support athletes across the state," says Reid Huttunen, North Dakota Special Olympics Development Director.

Youngest Plunger: Thomas Reno, 6, Moorhead
Best Costume: Braden Kleingartner, Polar Bear
Most Money Raised Individually: Erik Clemenson, ND Air National Guard, Dilworth
Most Money Raised By Business: Flint Group
Most Money Raised By Law Enforcement Team: Fargo Police Department
