Heavy Rain Causes Street Flooding in Fargo Area

Heavy rain Wednesday morning caused street flooding in parts of the Fargo area.

Valley Today Traffic Reporter Al Aamodt says one of the hardest hit areas was 13th Avenue in West Fargo. Parts of the road was closed near Menards at times Wednesday morning.

StormTeam Meteorologist Lisa Green says rain totals are still coming in but we picked up 1/3 of an inch at the Valley News Live studios and more than 3/4 of an inch at Hector Airport.

Green says radar showed heavier rain for a longer time over parts of West Fargo Wednesday morning.

We're also getting viewer reports of as much as 2 inches of rain in the Battle Lake area and more than 3 inches near Underwood.
