Busy day at NDSU with Winter Commencement and FCS Playoffs

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - North Fargo is sure to be a busy place on Friday. North Dakota State University winter commencement ceremonies are happening throughout the day, followed by the semi-final game of the FCS playoffs at the FARGODOME.

Ceremonies are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., noon, 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Graduates will get their diplomas at Festival Concert Hall in the Music Education Building

An estimated 1,057 students are eligible to participate in NDSU winter commencement. NDSU reports that just over 600 have indicated they will walk in the ceremonies.

There will be five students from the military commissioned during the 10:00 a.m. ceremony. The first ceremony is also where nine Bison football players will walk, prior to the big game Friday night.

Sports Information Director Ryan Perreault says Luke Albers, Andrew Bonnet, Jordan Champion, Jedre Cyr, Ben LeCompte, Nate Moody, Brock Russell, Brian Schaetz and CJ Smith will walk in the 10:00 a.m. commencement, and then switch gears and prepare for their game against Richmond.

Tailgating lots open on Friday afternoon. Those with reserved spots can get the fun going at 1:30 p.m. Non-reserved spots open up at 2:00 p.m.

The Farmers Union Insurance Bison Football Pregame Show starts on KX4 (11.2) at 6:00 Friday night. The game follows on ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m.
