ST. CLOUD, Minn. (Valley News Live) -- Carter Randklev scored with less than 30 seconds to play in overtime of the final game on the outdoor rink at Lake George in St. Cloud on Hockey Day Minnesota to give Moorhead a 3-2 win over Centennial.

Moorhead's Cole O'Connel and Kyler Klevinscored the first two goals of the game in the first period. The Cougars answered back with short-handed goal in the second and tied the game up less than five minutes later.

The teams skated to a scoreless third and nearly ended the game with a tie but Randklev was left alone open in the slot in front of the Cougars goal with 25.8 seconds to go in overtime.

"When I got the puck in the slot I kind of knew that it was getting down and I just had to get it off quick and try to hit the spot that I was aiming for and I pulled it off I guess," Randklev said after the win.
