West Fargo School District proposes new boundary changes

WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) We’re getting our first look at how one of the fastest growing school district's in North Dakota is looking to change its boundaries.

West Fargo school district leaders took a look at a map Monday night showing the proposed changes.

To find out if your kid will be affected, the district is rolling out a new tool for you to check.

A Google link lets you plug in your address and show you where your student would go to school.

Although no final decision was made Monday night, these proposed changes would take effect the fall of 2018.

This makes up a total of 963 students in grades 1 through 5, which is about 20% of the district's total elementary population.

The district says these changes are to help with stability, proximity, balance in class size and ethnicity, continuity and capacity.
