The Valley Today's traffic reporter Al Aamodt says firefighters have cleared the scene of what was reported as a possible water heater explosion early Monday morning in West Fargo.

A homeowner in the 1000 block of Sheyenne Street told dispatchers he was working on the water heater around 6 a.m., went upstairs and heard a boom, but did not see fire or smoke.

A homeowner in the 1000 block of Sheyenne Street told dispatchers he was working on the water heater around 6 a.m., went upstairs and heard a boom.

There were no initial reports of fire or smoke, but fire crews are checking it out.
