U.S. Capitol Police execute search warrant in Fargo

Police remain on scene in a south Fargo neighborhood Tuesday morning after US Capitol Police executed a search warrant in the area.

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) U.S. Capitol Police were in Fargo Tuesday morning investigating threats made against Senator Heidi Heitkamp.

Fargo Police tell Valley News Live that the Red River SWAT team was called in to help execute a search warrant around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home near the 1600 block of 51st Street South.

An official with Senator Heidi Heitkamp's office confirms to Valley News Live that the senator has had threats made against her. She referred further questions to the US Attorney's Office.

Neighbors tell us the man living at the house was arrested. The person who lives at the home has communicated regularly with our show Point of View with Chris Berg about his displeasure with the Affordable Care Act and our elected officials.
