Apartments evacuated after early morning fire in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) Firefighters are looking for the cause of a fire that filled a South Fargo apartment building with smoke early Wednesday morning.

Around 4 a.m. firefighters responded to 2421 20th Ave. South. That's a neighborhood between Lewis and Clark Elementary School and the Prairiewood Development.

We have reports that on arrival officials found heavy smoke coming from the bathroom of a second floor apartment unit.

The third floor units were then evacuated. Residents were let back in their homes around 5 a.m. once all smoke was cleared.
