Running for Breast Cancer Awareness

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so some volunteers decided to take to a treadmill for the race against the disease.

Throughout the day Wednesday, participants put the pedal to the tread-belt during the, “Run to Raise" breast cancer awareness event.

It helps raise money for breast cancer research.

For every mile that participants run on Family Wellness's ribbon and sticker covered machine, the organization will donate 5 dollars to the “Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation.

Family Wellness Assistant Director Angie Hasbrouck says, “You know that's what we really try and strive for with our mission is to really connect people and inspire wellness but also in a fun environment."
