GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Over the past month, several restaurants in Grand Forks have been slapped with critical violations.
Ruth Jenson, owner of Gramma Butterwicks, said she's doesn't think the violations she received were justified.
"I've never seen an inspector do what this one did. She was asking for specific questions about our food and she came right after we had a big crowd," Jenson said. "There's no way you can remember when you placed food in the refrigerator when you're so busy."
Jenson said she has several of her past inspection reports.
"There's one or two critical violations, but we always fix them right away," Jenson said. "This last time, we tried to fix everything and we still had 4 critical violations. It's ridiculous."
Environmental Health Managers with Grand Forks Public Health said they're just following the guidelines to keep the public safe.
