Police search for suspect in Grand Forks home invasion

GRAND FORKS -- Grand Forks police have one suspect in custody and are searching for a second in connection with a home-invasion burglary and robbery in Grand Forks.

Garrett Featherstone, 19, of Arvilla, North Dakota, was taken into custody Saturday. Casey Featherstone, 40, address unknown, is wanted by authorities.

On Friday, a man broke into a home on the 300 block of Circle Dr. East and assaulted the female homeowner by striking her with a handgun before fleeing. The suspect stole a phone and an unknown amount of money. The victim suffered a wrist injury and a laceration to the head.

Casey Featherstone has been charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, felonious restraint, terrorizing, theft of property, possession of stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Garrett Featherstone has been charged with criminal conspiracy -- robbery, criminal conspiracy -- burglary, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
