Police investigating armed robbery, shooting in north Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) UPDATE: Just before 11:00 pm Thursday night a Fargo Officer on patrol was flagged down by an individual while stopped in the 600 block of 10th St. N. The individual told police he had just been shot. Shortly after, a second victim approached the officer with an apparent head injury. FM Ambulance took both victims to a local hospital. Officers were able to determine the incident happened at a nearby apartment in the 700 block of 10th St. N.

The victims told police a black man wearing a mask knocked on their door. When they opened the door, the suspect forced his way into their apartment and assaulted both of them.

The incident is still under investigation. The extent of the victims injuries are not known at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fargo Police are investigating an armed robbery at a north side apartment building that sent two people to the hospital.

Police say someone knocked on a door around 11 Thursday night at 701 10th Street North. The victim who was shot was inside the apartment. Another person was also injured, but neither have life-threatening injuries.

Police says it's possible the people knew each other, but say, as of 7 a.m. Friday, no one's been arrested.

The apartment complex is an older building as does not have any security system.

Police also tell Valley News Live that they don't believe there's a danger to the general public because of this incident.
