Police: Father, son arrested in $1.1 million drug bust on 1-94

MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) The Morton County Sheriff's Office made a massive drug bust Sunday during a routine traffic stop on I-94 near Mandan.

Deputies arrested a father and son after a vehicle search discovered $1.1 million worth of drugs, authorities said.

Deputies seized 210 pounds of raw marijuana, 5 pounds of THC wax and 8 grams of meth.

Fifty-three-year-old Robert Earl Smith and his son, 24-year-old Christopher Conkey, were arrested for possession with intent to deliver.

They are being held in the Burleigh/Morton County Detention Center.
