BISMARCK, N.D. (Valley News Live) The North Dakota Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a Corvette after a crash in the Bismarck area.

Troopers say a man was driving an Impala and was heading west on I-94 from Bismarck to Mandan on Wednesday when a late 90s to early 2000s model blue Chevrolet Corvette passed the vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the Impala says the Corvette driver suddenly braked in front of him, causing him to lose control.

The Impala entered the north ditch, struck a large sign post, and overturned.

The crash happened around 2:15 PM on Wednesday.

An ambulance arrived on scene to examine the driver and the 2-year-old passenger.

Witnesses reported the Corvette was driving recklessly, weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed.

They observed the Corvette driver slam on the brakes, forcing the Impala off the road.

The Corvette did not display license plates, only a temporary registration sticker in a rear window.

The Corvette driver was described as a bald, white male in his 30s.

If anyone has information regarding the Corvette or driver, please contact the North Dakota Highway Patrol at 701-328-2467.
