Moorhead Police release results of Busted by the Bus campaign

The Moorhead Police Department is cracking down on distracted drivers with their "Busted by the Bus" campaign and today, they have the results of their ride.

Altogether, 75 traffic stops were conducted. The Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol also participated in the campaign.
Of those stops, 27 people were caught texting while driving, 25 for not wearing a seat belt, and seven tickets were given for miscellaneous offenses.

Moorhead Police say they'll be running the campaign again in a few weeks.

During the 2017-2018 school year, 168 school bus violations were turned into the Moorhead Police Department.
