Minnesota State Patrol updates statewide crash report

ST. PAUL, MN (Valley News Live) The Minnesota State Patrol has an update on their crash report around the state during the time of the heavy snow system that hit southwestern, Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol said between Friday and Sunday evening it tallied 559 crashes.

Of those, 64 of them involved injuries, two of them serious.

There were two fatal accidents, one in Medina involving a pedestrian and the second one was in Minneapolis near Interstate 94.

There were 1,058 spin-outs and 20 jackknifed tractor trailers.

Highway 52 was closed in both directions for hours Saturday between County Road 46 in Coates and Highway 50 in Hampton due to an injury accident.
