Man in jail after pursuit in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) A Grand Forks man is in jail after a police chase Wednesday night.

Officers were looking for 51-year-old Dana Decoteau in connection with a domestic disturbance. They attempted a traffic stop after spotting him in his pickup near UND.

Police say Decoteau attempted to flee in the vehicle by driving north on Stanford Road and then west on Gateway Drive. Officers used a pursuit intervention maneuver on the suspect's car, forcing him to stop.

Decoteau was taken into custody for Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Driving Under Suspension.

The initial domestic violence situation remains under investigation.
