Man arrested after triggering lockdown at Valley City High School during career day

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (Valley News Live) A North Dakota man is facing charges after sneaking into the Valley City Highschool and triggering a lockdown during a college career day.

Police say 20-year-old Lucas Bergenheier of Valley City was told by school staff that the career day was only for students and staff, but was seen entering the school a short time later Wednesday.

School staff, police, and the School Resource Officer then activated the lockdown procedure and found Bergenheier. He is facing charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
