Man accused in Fergus Falls armed standoff

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (Valley News Live) A man arrested after an armed standoff in Fergus Falls is headed to court this week.

Police say 27-year-old Theodore Tiede is in the Otter Tail County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and terrorizing.

Officers were called to a home in Fergus Falls Saturday afternoon by someone inside the house who said they'd been threatened with a gun by Tiede.

During a nearly three-hour standoff, police say Tiede fired a number of shots.

No one was hurt, and Tiede eventually surrendered.
