High speed chase ends with one man in custody and another getting away

Clay County, MN A high speed chase Sunday afternoon stretched across Clay County as troopers, deputies, and officers gave pursuit.

The incident began when a Clay County Sheriff's deputy saw a pair of motorcycles speeding near Barnesville and attempted to pull them over.

They fled with the deputy following for a while, but eventually breaking off pursuit.

The pair was then spotted again by a Minnesota Highway Patrol trooper in the area of Downer, but they were travelling much slower.

The trooper saw the two popping wheelies and also attempted to pull them over.

Again, the pair took off heading towards Moorhead.

As the chase dragged on, one of the riders pulled over and surrendered himself to police.

The other rider managed to put distance between himself and authorities to get away.
