Gold coin donated to Jamestown Salvation Army

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Jamestown Salvation Army will agree that big things come in small packages.

Major Tim Nauta reports that a solid gold Krugerrand coin was donated at one of the six donation sites in Jamestown over the past weekend.

The coin could be worth more than $1,200.

This is the first gold coin donated in Jamestown since two coins were given in 2015.

Nauta says with about 10 days left in the campaign, they have about $60,000 to go before they reach their $140,000 goal.
