Fargo Library invites kids to take part in ‘Wizard of Oz’ Play

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) Local children are invited to join the cast and crew of the Fargo Public Library’s production of “The Wizard of Oz” this winter.

The first rehearsal will be Thursday, Jan. 11, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Main Library. The performance will be at The Stage at Island Park (333 4th St. South) in late March.

Kids who are not interested in being on stage can sign up to be set designers, builders, painters and yellow brick makers. This program is for children ages 7-12, and all skills levels are welcome.

There is no cost or fee for kids to participate in this production. Pre-registration is required by calling the Children's Services Dept. at 701.241.1495.

Details regarding rehearsals and the performance of “The Wizard of Oz” play are as follows:
• Play Rehearsals:
Thursdays, January 11 – March 22
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Main Library

• Dress Rehearsal:
Monday, March 26 – 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at The Stage at Island Park (333 4th St. S.)

• Performance:
Tuesday, March 27 – 6 p.m. at The Stage at Island Park (333 4th St. S.)
