DAPL protests continue on Thanksgiving day

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR TV) Multiple protests took place today against the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Hundreds of opponents of the pipeline demonstrated at the Backwater Bridge and Turtle Hill. Protesters also gathered at the intersection of East Main and Memorial Highway in Mandan this morning.

Authorities say two people were arrested after refusing to leave.

One arrested for "physical obstruction of a governmental function" and disorderly conduct the other for "reckless endangerment."

This morning law enforcement issued a phone alert to residents, warning them about the presence of protesters.
